Help for the “K1 Galerien Köln” app, as of August 2026
Navigation:
- There are three main windows: “Home,” “Maps,” and “Settings.”
- In “Home,” brief information about K1 is displayed in the upper area, with the current exhibitions at the K1 galleries directly below.
Scroll through the list of exhibitions and click on the entries for which you would like more information. Clicking on an entry opens a
window with detailed information about the event, which can be closed by clicking on the cross in the upper left corner.
- Clicking on the name of the gallery in the header opens a window with detailed information about the gallery, such as location, opening hours, telephone number, and URL (web address).
- The location and URL information can be clicked on to display further details.
- A city map is displayed in “Maps.” By default, all currently participating K1 galleries are displayed. The center button in the
footer opens a window with a list of routes. If you select a route, only the galleries belonging to that route are displayed in “Maps.”
If a single gallery is selected (either by tapping the marker on the map or via the link in the header of an event), further information
about the gallery's current event can be displayed using the button at the bottom left, or a route from the current location to the
gallery can be determined using the button at the bottom right. Permission to determine your location will first be requested. If this is
not granted, a route to the gallery cannot be determined. The permission can be adjusted later on your smartphone under “Settings.”
- In “Settings,” you can select the language in the app using the country flags.
